A decade of geophysical fluid dynamics, from submesoscale ocean turbulence to global air–sea coupling. This is the physics foundation the modelling and evaluation work stands on: knowing how the ocean and atmosphere actually exchange momentum and heat is what lets me judge when a model has it right.
